"We just enjoyed a fantastic two-day stay at The DeBruce, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to unplug, unwind, and enjoy a charmingly rustic atmosphere with exceptional food.

From the start, the service was attentive and thoughtful. Even before we arrived, there was excellent communication, providing everything we needed to know, and they went above and beyond to help us arrange our dinner reservations in advance.

Our welcome was warm and personal (thank you, Anastasija!), complete with a delicious welcome drink awaiting us. Nestled on 600 acres, the property offers a wonderful network of trails, which we thoroughly enjoyed exploring each day. While the hotel is remote, it’s just a short 8-minute drive to Livingston Manor, where you’ll find charming shops and great lunch spots.

The food is outstanding—each morning began with a generous breakfast selection, and dinner was a culinary delight. We tried the à la carte menu one night and the tasting menu the next; I highly recommend experiencing both.

The Debruce is the perfect escape from New York City. The scenic drive up is easy, and once here, you truly feel off the grid—exactly what we needed. Thank you to everyone at The Debruce for making our stay so memorable. We can’t wait to return!

"Highly recommend an overnight at the DeBruce, forget technology and immerse yourself in their cozy, welcoming atmosphere. We stayed on a snowy winter night, arrived just in time for cocktail hour & snacks while we played chess by the fire. The night continued into the open-kitchen dining room as we watched our tasting menu be prepared. If you enjoy fine food and nature, this is your destination. Play games and shuffleboard in the basement by the bar, or go snow shoeing / hiking in the morning after a la carte breakfast."

"I was looking for a quiet and relaxing weekend getaway with my wife to celebrate her birthday and the Debruce was perfect.

We stayed three nights and made dinner reservations for two of those nights. The food and service was incredible and we enjoyed both of our dinners immensely as well as the included breakfast each morning.

Neither of us drink, but observing others around us, it looked like the wine, beer, spirits, and cocktail selection was excellent. The staff is incredibly nice and attentive.

There were plenty of spaces in the Debruce to play board games, relax by the fire, or have a drink. In addition to the indoor activities, we enjoyed the nicely marked hiking trails on the property."
